For those who don't know, this is what a merkin is (probably NSFWish).

You may have noticed the use of blue backgrounds in some of the recent comics.  This was inspired by the return of one of my favorite comics, F Chords.  Khris Straub does an awesome job of drawing a simple black and white comic, but gives the whole thing a lot more depth by adding another color to the whole mix.
