This comic is totally based off of actual events.  The driver of that rather stumpy looking Prius is none other than my lovely girlfriend Eileen.  I like to make fun of her love for NPR (even though it is pretty good sometimes) and accuse her of being a rich, old, white dude (despite being a small, Chinese girl) because this is the largest demographic of NPR listeners.  Also, her non-ironic use of the phrase "hellz yea!" to celebrate a news quiz show makes her a big dork, too.
